Mission

The primary mission of The Oil Spot RVA is to educate, guide, coach, and facilitate knowledge on holistic health topics with individuals and families, helping them to feel empowered into their own lives to make choices and feel confident in their abilities towards self healing.

The secondary mission of The Oil Spot RVA is to help my clients to take full responsibility for their own health, nutrition, and wellness, using resources, advice, and guidance as tools, but ultimately being the deciding voice for themselves.

The third mission of The Oil Spot RVA is to provide a safe healing space where practice, community, collaboration, mindfulness, and modalities such as Raindrop, Vitaflex, and Aroma Freedom Techniques, can be utilized and experienced.

Standard of Care

As the sole proprietor of The Oil Spot RVA, I act as a holistic health coach and educator, focusing on empowering each client towards their own health, nutrition, and wellness. For many, I act as a mentor, creating a long-standing relationship built on trust and knowledge. I do this on a multilevel approach, depending on the need of each client.

Some know what they want and just need direction or guidance into how to get quality products. For them, I can offer connections and resources to their own discount system.
Some would like a little more assistance, and for these clients, I can demonstrate, educate, and mentor them to help them make their own choices.
Some wish to focus on specific services, such as stress reduction (Aromatherapy breath work), emotional and goal clearing (Aroma Freedom Technique), alignment (Raindrop Technique), or vitality (Vitaflex Technique), and I can facilitate a specific session based on my training and certifications.

As clients move through the options, I am there with them, offering my services, but also willing to take a backseat and be a cheerleader for them in whichever part of life they are in at the time.

About the Practice

My Role

I am able to help you manage your stress, work through goals and limiting beliefs, replace the items you use in your home with plant-based and natural alternatives, and improve your mood and emotions.

My role is to empower you to make your own decisions when it comes to your health. I do this through encouraging you to think, reflect, and take action. Nothing that we discuss is a command or requirement, because the choice is ultimately up to you. For those that have worked with me in this capacity, they have loved the experience and personal growth they have witnessed in themselves. But the decision to make a change is yours and yours alone. I just encourage you and cheer you on.

Scope of Practice

- I am a Certified Aromatherapist able to help you recognize your own body’s healing ability through managing stress. Managing your stress caused by medical conditions, diseases, disorders, medications, pharmaceutical drugs, and pain, helps your body heal itself.

- I am a Certified Raindrop Technique Specialist able to facilitate a Raindrop Technique and/or Vitaflex session in order to promote relaxation and rejuvenation of the mind and body through laying on of hands and anointing of essential oils.

- I am a Licensed Spiritual Health Coach able to guide emotional release work, Reiki sessions, and health coaching in order to manage stress and encourage relaxation of the body, mind, and spirit.

Code of Conduct

Confidentiality

I will treat the information from each client with respect and privacy. I must, however, abide by the current federal, state, and local laws by reporting abuse, threats of suicide, or responding to subpoenas. I will release records with Client's written permission.

Conflicts of Interest

I will disclose any conflicts of interest as they arise. I am a brand partner with Young Living Essential Oils and will receive a commission on the sale of products. Purchase of these products are not required or suggested.

Professional Skills & Knowledge Required

I will deliver services to all individuals, regardless of age, appearance, beliefs, color, creed, disability, economic status, education, gender, handicap, language, national origin, place of residence, race, religion, sexual orientation, spirituality, or any other factor.

Appropriate Behavior

I will maintain professionalism in my manner and business practices, both in regards to each client and in the community.

Ethical Business Practices

I will treat all clients with respect, kindness, patience, and professionalism while following all laws of the federal, state, and local governments.

Professional Development

I will maintain my certifications and licensure, keeping it current. I will actively participate in professional development and continuing education.

Policies & Procedures

Fees and Payment

All services requiring payment will be invoiced within 48 hours after the completion of the initial service date, unless otherwise stated. Payment is due on receipt and may be received by Venmo, PayPal, Personal Check, Cash (exact change), or Credit Card (all major card accepted).

Because these are services, if you are not satisfied with your experience, please contact me to discuss options. Once payment is completed, no refunds are available on services.

Referrals

If a client presents a symptom or condition beyond the scope of my practice, I will refer them to an appropriate licensed and/or certified professional. This may include a naturopath, chiropractor, veterinarian, massage therapist, functional medicine doctor, or physical therapist.

Nondiscrimination

The Oil Spot RVA does not tolerate discrimination on the basis of age, appearance, attire, creed, disability, economic status, education, gender, handicap, intelligence, neighborhood, personal preferences, political preferences, primary language, profession, race, religion, residence, second language, social status, speech, or weight.

Cancellation Policy

When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on my calendar that is no longer available to others. In order to be respectful of everyone's time, please call, text, or email me as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.

If cancellation is necessary, we require that you contact at least 12 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another person access to that appointment time.

Reporting Policy & Illegal Activities

The information from our sessions is confidential except for cases of emotional, physical, mental or psychological abuse or illegal activities.

Procedures

Aroma Freedom Technique Session - In a session, I will guide you through twelve steps to identify and release negative thoughts, feelings, and memories that interfere with attaining our goals. We will use essential oils as part of this practice.

Aromatherapy Consultation or Coaching Session - I will encourage you to think, reflect, and take action towards a specific goal you have in mind. I will offer a comfortable place to experience aromatherapy, whether topically or through inhalation.

Neuro-Auricular Technique - As a trained facilitator, I will anoint you with a sequence of essential oils and use an auricular probe to pinpoint specific nerve endings in a relaxing and methodical manner.

Raindrop Technique Session - As a facilitator, I will work through the steps of a Raindrop Technique via the anointing of oils and laying on of hands in a private and comfortable atmosphere.

Reiki Session - As a guide, I will use my hands as ways to channel energy towards certain points on the body to facilitate healing, health, and vitality.

Vitaflex Technique Session - In a facilitator role, I will identify specific essential oils to use while leading through the steps of a Vitaflex Technique, targeting different body systems to encourage vitality through the reflexes with the addition of anointing of oils.

Medical Procedures, Injections, & Illnesses

Due to the nature of medical procedures, injections, and vaccinations regarding the shedding period and side effects, I ask that if you have received any of these interventions within the last 2 weeks to please reschedule your appointment.

Likewise, if you are feeling ill, please reschedule your appointment.
